Staying outside UK on ICT Tier 2 Visa

Appreciate your response in advance.

I am a little confused here, I was in UK for about 9 months (Sep,15 - Apr,16) then I can back to India to work for a same employer in India office. My visa was for 3 years with a validity of until Sep,18. This means I was out of UK for about 18 months now.

Is my visa still valid? If I want to go back to the UK now, is there a problem please?

No. You are not getting paid in the uk, so not complying with your visa. Even if your employer did not cancel your cos, which they should have when you left, you would be stopped at airport.

On the same front, I was required to work for the same client at a different location, Not sure why my visa is still not valid?

because you were not complying with the visa conditions.
Visa was issued for you to work in uk, but you left for another site.

Hi,

I'm just speaking based on my experience with ICT. I was previously in ICT and had similar situations. I had to go back and work for the same employer in India and then come back to UK for a new deputation with the same client and same job role ( please note if the job is different then it has to be amended). I was never denied entry. As the name suggests ICT is Intra company transfer VISA and the company can transfer resources between the base location and UK. Your VISA doesnt become invalid because you had to go back. Having said all this if your sponsor is an A rated organisation, their immigration team will have all this info and will be able to manage this.
