Hi,

I am looking through VAFA December 2013 and Appendix 2 and have a few questions relating to this that I was wondering you could help with.

Appendix 2

1.27 Does your sponsor have any children?

My husband and I have a child together but it doesn't state this anywhere in the document. Should I mention it here?

1.28 Is your sponsor responsible for supporting anyone financially, including any children listed above?
Can I mention child benefit in this section to be included as support of finance?

3.22 If your sponsor has not been employed by the same employer for 6 months prior to the application does their total income (before tax) from salaried employment received in the 12 months prior to your application meet or exceed the financial requirement you must meet?
I will have been with the same employer for 6 months prior to the application, earning over the required amount. Do I leave this section blank or tick No?

Do I leave section b-f blank if I am completing a?

3.64 Income from pension and permitted benefits. What pension/benefit do you/your sponsor receive?
Do I include child benefit in this section?

3.73 If the total annual income from your sponsor's employment (Part 3A, Part 3B and/or Part 3C) is taken together with income from non employment sources and pension/benefits, does this meet or exceed the financial requirement you must meet?
Do I answer this question or do I leave it blank?

A bit of background history. I am a UK citizen and my husband and I got married in Jan 2016 in Pakistan. I stayed in Pakistan to spend time with my husband and his parents and I resigned from my job with the hope of returning in a few months. I fell pregnant in April 2016 and came back to the UK in July 2016 and gave birth in January 2017. I came back to Pakistan in May 2017 and spent my maternity here so that my husband and has family can spend time with my little one. During this time, my husband's visit visa was rejected on the basis that he will not return back to Pakistan as he has a wife and child there.

Under section 3.39 where it says..has your sponsor been offered a job in the UK which is due to start within 3 months of their return to the UK....does this include career breaks and holidays? I will return to the UK in November 2017 to find employment so do I leave this section blank as I am already a citizen?

My husband has no intention of staying in the UK as he has a good job in Pakistan, but since his visit visas are being rejected, settlement is the only route we have available for us to apply. During the 2.5 years of the initial visa he will not be i the UK for the majority of the time ie. likely will not be eligible to extend another 2,5 years. I had spoken to a solicitor and he stated that if good reason is given for being out of the country ie a employment, then it may be extended if enough evidence is provided. Does this sound correct?

Also, at what point am I able to pay the extra £551 for the priority service? If the application is made online, outside of the UK, how am I supposed to pay for this?
