Question Regarding "applying 28 days before" rule.

Post by CMOSUK » Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:24 pm

Hi,

I wanted to ask would it do any harm if you were to apply 28 days before the leave expiry rather than the qualifying period?

for example, the leave expiry is 1 month more than the qualifying period, so it would mean if the application was sent 28 days before leave expiry the total qualifying period would be = 'qualifying period + 1 month ' in total.

in another example of 6 years DLR. it would be on the above example - 6 years and 1 month of DLR.

I wanted to ask this separately from my other thread and only used the above as an example. thanks in advance for the input.

You can apply for ILR 28 days from completing the 5 year at the EARLIEST. You can of course apply later than that date
