Working with Tier 4 visa

Post by leandro_feitosa » Fri Sep 22, 2017 9:36 pm

Hi all,

I have a bit of a dilemma now. I hope someone can help me, since I couldn't find any official information about this. Here it is:

I'm in my 3rd of a PhD with a Tier 4 visa, valid till the end of October/2019. I can finish my thesis by mid-2018. But I know that if I graduate early, I need to leave the country even before the visa expiry date. I know I can work full time between the submission and the viva and the corrections. My question is: can I work full time while I wait for my graduation date, even after re-submission? Let's say I can officially graduate in July/2019, can I submit and be approved in, say October/2018, and work full time till July?

I appreciate all help you can give.
Cheers

Complex and down to instutional discretion. Chat to your International Student Advisor.

The Universities I know have taken the stance while consulting with UKVI that when a student is reported for Early Course Completion, they get the 4 months wrap up time on the Visa regardless and can work full time during this. But it's institutional discretion and every University has different policies.
