BRITISH CITIZENSHIP

Post by Lyndsaybanegas89 » Sat Sep 23, 2017 2:42 pm

Hi :)
First time posting here

My husband is on a SEA residence card for 5 years. We did the surinder Singh route. I was just wondering. Could he apply for citizenship after 3 years of being in the country or does he have to wait for the 5 years? Getting confused. Tia :D

He needs to get PR first, which is only possible after five years. He then needs to apply for and received a PR Card (or its post-Brexit replacement) and then apply for naturalisation.
