Absence issue for ILR from DL

hi

My uncle is applying for ILR on the basis of completion of 6 years Discretionary Leave (DL).

He has 470 absences during last 6 years. Is there is any absence requirement for this type of visa

His DL was given being a father of British children in 2012 (old rules for DL)
