Adequate Maintenance - Sponsor Employed by Partner in Family Business

Post by beatleperson » Sun Sep 24, 2017 11:06 pm

A couple want to get married, they are:
a) ILR EEA person in the UK ('Sponsor')
b) Non EEA person ('Applicant')

Can the ILR EEA person in the UK (Sponsor) who will sponsor the Applicant (non-EEA person) demonstrate 'Adequate Maintenance' in the form of salary from a UK company owned by the Applicant.

Would this look strange if the salary they are using to demonstrate 18,600 in post expense income is actually coming from a company that the Applicant owns and the Applicant is writing the letter attesting to their employment?

Hi Vinny, applicant is in the UK. Current visa expires shortly (spousal dependent tier 2, defacto with non EEA) due to relationship breakdown. Individual has given notice to the gov and needs to leave but wants to marry another person.
