Interpretation of Guidance

Post by ssardar » Sat Sep 30, 2017 11:01 pm

Hello All,

I am applying for an extension case. Can anyone please explain the below statement:

C. On a date no earlier than 3 months prior to the date of application, you were: a) registered with HMRC as self-employed, or b) registered with Companies House as a director of a new or an existing company, or member of a new or an existing limited liability partnership. Individual who are on the list of disqualified directors provided by Companies House will not be awarded points.

Does it imply that I have to reapply for directorship so it could be within the last three months?

Please help.

Thanks

What do you mean "reapply for directorship" ?

Anyway, as long as you have remained a Director (i.e. you have not resigned) at a date within three months before the application, you satisfy the requirement.
My comments are in no way meant to be advisory. I have no professional knowledge of immigration. These are based on my own experience, convictions and personal interpretation of publicly available information.

It simply means the date on your evidence supporting your claim cannot be more than 3 months old from the date of your application (for e.g a Current Appointment Report must be dated no later than 3 months)
