Tier4 Dependant Visa Questions

Post by krybicer » Thu Jul 06, 2017 12:50 pm

Hello everyone,

My wife is here in United Kingdam. My wife has a Tier 4 visa that ends on October 17, 2017. She is currently in the Pre-Sessional course and ends on September 17, 2017. She will then begin the master course on October 1, 2017 - September 30, 2018. She has 13 days holiday and will come to Turkey. From 1 October 2017 I will go to the UK. I will take my visa kind Tier4 Student Dependant visa. Can my wife extend her visa in the UK? And can I get Turkey's Tier4 Student Dependant visa? Or should we both get Turkey visa? Can you help me? What path do we need to follow to get a Visa?

King Regards

The viable options depend on some other things you have not explained, for example does the offer of a place on the Masters depend on passing the pre-sessional? Is Turkey the home country of both of you? Is she studying at a university or a private college?

Moreover if she applies in the UK, how could she travel to Turkey when her passport is with the Home Office?

I strongly advise she speaks to the international student adviser at her college or university. They are best placed to advise her on her various options, and yours.

Thank you for your answer.

My wife is sponsored student at university. My wife is currently staying at the University campus and we will have family flats on the university campus from 1 October 2017 to 30 September 2018. We can document this. We are both in the same country, in Turkey.

My wife took Turkey 's first visa and has been there since April 26, 2017. The Pre-Sessional Course ends on September 17, 2017.

My wife will be MA Student from October 1st, 2017. Courses will end on September 30, 2018. She has an offer letter for Masters.

I am an officer in Turkey. From October I will leave for free and go to the UK.

How do we get a visa in this case? Should my wife extend her visa there? Or she will come to Turkey and we will apply together?

Either. If she applies in the UK, you will need to wait until she has the outcome of the application before you apply as her dependant. And obviously, without her passport she could not travel to Turkey for a holiday.

Tier 4 dependent visa help

Post by krybicer » Tue Oct 03, 2017 6:53 pm

Hello everyone,

My wife is in the UK since April 26, 2017. On September 15 Pre-Sessional course end and the result of the course was positive. Tomorrow will start MA lessons. My wife's visa will close soon. For this reason, She requested a visa extension in the UK (Tier 4 Student). She applied for Priority Visa. We hope this week or next week will result. After my wife's visa is finalized, I will be in Turkey applying for a Tier 4 Dependant visa. (Me and My Wife's Country Turkey). I think, I need the documentation below. What else should we add to these documents? Or is there a document that is redundant?

Note: My wife is a scholarship student from the Ministry of National Education of Turkey and has a sponsor certificate indicating all living expenses. On a university campus, we rented a flat to live with. There is a contract sheet that is deposited and a payment plan is written. My wife is now living there.

1) Marriage certificate
2) My wife's sponsorship certificate
3) Document showing enough money in the bank. (for me)
4) My wife's CAS certificate
5) University registration certificate
6) Flat contract and payment plan

What do I need to add in addition to these documents? Thank you from now.

What guidance are you using? Only documents 1 and 3 are relevant. If you and your wife have been living apart, it will be useful to have evidence of ongoing contact.

You wife should get advice on her dependant's application from her university.

I do not have guidance. I will do the application myself. I think documents 1 and 3, documents required for a generally dependent visa. Does my wife have to take a letter of recommendation for me from university? Is this a different document than the CAS document?

You need to follow the guidance provided by the UKVI:

https://www.gov.uk/tier-4-general-visa/family-members

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... rs-1-2-4-5

UKCISA also provides guidance:

https://www.ukcisa.org.uk/Information-- ... Dependants

Your wife's Tier 4 sponsor may also offer advice on dependant applications.
