SET(LR) Application form questions

Hi guys,

I have a few questions about filling up the application form for the SET(LR) application hoping someone can help -


Section C8 - Asks to provide my BRP Number. I took the number on the top right corner from my BRP. The format if which is - AA0000000. This adds up to 9 characters. But in the application form, there are space for 18 characters. Seems big difference. Did I choose the wrong BRP number? I don't see any other number on my BRP card which has 18 characters either.

Section D3 - Asks to list every time I left UK within the last 10 years and specify the countri(es) I travelled to. While most of the time I travelled, the destination was one single country, but there are two times when I visited more than one country in the same trip. One of them consists of 6 countries as it was a euro-trip. Do I need to list all the countries? If so, then it is impossible to list all in such small box. If I use separate sheet for that one trip then the rest won't be in date order. On the other hand, if I am to only provide just the name of one country, then which one? the first country I visited after leaving UK? Or the last country I visited before coming UK? Or in the country I spent the most days within the trip?

Another (possibly daft) question is, it asks to list them in date order. I am assuming it means to list in chronological order and not revers chronological. Can anyone confirm this?

Section D11 - Asks for my ties with home country. The exact same question is asked again in section E14. Should I answer both with same information? or are they asking for different things there that I am not getting?

Section E - I had a speeding offence (SP30) for which I was convicted on December 2014 (more than 24 months ago) I was given 6 points and 320 pounds fine by the court. In section E1 & E2, they ask to declare criminal conviction. I understand FPN doesn't fall under this. But then in Section E3 & E4 asks for penalties in relation to criminal offence and Section E5 & E6 asks for civil penalty. Which one would my penalty fall under?

I also had a few PCN for parking and bus lane etc. I realised from reading other topics that even though it may not be required it's better to declare it than make the C/O think I am hiding information. But I don't have any documents or information regarding them. What should I do?

Lastly, I am applying through the premium service, so I'm leaving the "Section 1 - Payment Details" completely empty. I am guessing there is no need to point out in that section that my fee is paid online already. Please confirm.


I know some of the questions are probably result of over thinking things but I would really appreciate if someone could answer and confirm all these confusions.
