ILR - DOCUMENTS WITH HO : INFO? URGENT

Post by peacefultraveller » Sat Oct 07, 2017 5:42 pm

Hello,

Just posting for some kind advice in behalf of someone who isn't on the forum.

The person's original documents are currently held with HO due to a FLR (FP) being processed.

- The passports are also with HO, the person has completed 10 years lawfully.

- The person's current passport has expired while application was being processed with the HO, and they are unable to get a new passport without producing old passport.
The person sent a request for a certified copy of passport from HO but they have disregarded the request.

- Should the person book an appointment where the FLR is being processed or is it all right for them to get an appointment in any of the Premium Centers; seeing as they are all linked across to each other?

What is the procedure for someone of this nature?

The person has also completed the LIFE in UK TEST

And the english language requirement

Is there others on here who had similar situations or experiences?

Can they book a Premium appointment and take photocopies and explain the matter at the appointment day while lodging the ILR application SET LR?

Or can they post a ILR application?

Can they explain the request for producing a valid travel document as part of the application process?

Could a driver licence act as Proof of ID?

Thoughts please

As far as my understanding is, If they are able to upgrade to a premium, they would then need to send a request of UKVI to send the relevant documents to the PEO centre and the relevant details that may require in time before the appointment so a decision can be made with out delays.

I hope this helps, it is a lot of questions, will need to further research this....
These are my 'views' and 'opinions'.
If in doubt always seek professional advice, or at least do a search for the relevant information. :P

If i make any mistakes, You are more than welcome to correct me.

Thank you for your reply.

The person has the choice to book either a premium service or to post the application.
So what would be their best choice?

Either way,(post or premium) they will have to send photocopies as originals are currently under care of HO.
would the fact the passport being expired stay in the way?
i have noticed upon research some people on the forum have had their ILR granted even when the HO held their current documents.

Would it be wise to go and book appointment where the FLR was sent or should any premium centre be fine as long as they take photocopies and explain the matter?

How can they find out where the current place is of their documents?
