Naturalisation

Post by Mohsin usman » Wed Oct 11, 2017 9:22 am

Hi i have so many question to ask. 1st thing I applied for my citizenship on 8th of July 2017 still waiting anyway. Actually I lost my BRP CARD some where. I let the home office know about that. N then I asked nationality check service do I need to apply new one they said no just u going to apply for ur nationality u dnt to apply for BRP JUST LET THE HOME OFFICE KNOW it was stolen. Anyway on 3rd oct it's been 3 months complete I received the email from bid civil penalty u have 10 days working to apply ur BRP. 🙄 Anyway we already applied for that also. But I haven't got any response from homeoffice about my citizenship n all. I also didn't mention anything about my driving points n offences in form. I received 8 points on my license cuz I was catch driving without insurance and full license. Then I got 3 more points again driving on pervisonal license. I paid heavy fine n I was guilty in court. 😞 Now I am worried about my passport I have no idea what to do. Well my wife n kids they are British. N also we are going pakistan on 7th of December on my sis wedding but I am still waiting plz help what I can do.

First of all you will not be able to travel without a BRP. Secondly, if you were fined by court, then you should have declared it. It will have consequences and you should be prepared for those.

HO will not issue you anything other than BRP card, your travel document is your passport. You cannot do do much except to wait.

Is it really meter because I didn't report to police about my lost BRP? I am worried because I just report in homeoffice but not police. Can I send any covering letter with my BRP DOCUMENTS so I can explain why I was delay or anything? Thanks for ur help. Really Appreciated.

AFAIK you also need to report the lost BRP to Police before informing HO. Suggest you look for the procedure of reporting / applying for new BRP on HO website or the leaflet that came with your BRZp.

Police no longer accept reports of lost or stolen passport or BRPs.
Use the HO website: https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence- ... en-damaged
