Awaiting decision/email confirmation, but payment not taken

Dear all,
I applied for naturalisation (non-EEA family member of EEA 5 years + 1) via NCS on 03-Oct-2017
Received by UKBA on 04-Oct-2017
Email confirmation with Case ID number received dated 11-Oct-2017 "Awaiting decision"
I still don't see payment taken from the debit card
Is this situation normal or do I need to contact UKBA about the payment?
Just 1 week passed but I would expect payment to be taken first and confirmation email/letter second?
P.S. I had some issues with payment with EEA PR application so I'm anxious this time too

Call up your bank. It's possible the bank refused the transaction. If so let them know not to block this transaction again. Email home office yo request another payment slip which they probably have by now anyways.. fill the slip and send back. Hopefully this helps

Thanks for the reply! The payment card is of my husband so he will call the bank later this afternoon. However we already visited the bank prior to application and asked not to block any transactions from the UKBA so the bank knows...
In situations of failed payments with AN applications what address do applicants use to re-send payment slips?
Is this the same address where applications are sent?

Yes I sent it to the same address and payment was duly taken after a week or so

The payment appeared on the statement today
Probably it has been taken the same day with the confirmation email
