VFS Premium Services- Keep my passport

I just wanted to share information that I came to know when I was applying for spouse settlement visa at VFS Mumbai.

The keep my passport service allows you to keep your passport after application for "10 days only". You will need to submit the passport to VFS after the 10 day period is over. Your application is "on hold" until VFS receives your passport.

Effectively this is a deceiving tactic being used by VFS, as they just safe-keep your application until your passport is submitted. Your application is submitted to UKVI only when you submit the passport. I dont understand why they would even provide such a service.

The information was provided by the VFS staff processing the application submission. Hope this post helps someone going through the application process, the way other posts have helped me.
