VISIT VISA APPLICATION HELP FOR MY MOTHER

Post by hena » Sat Oct 14, 2017 11:56 pm

I am on Pakistani passport but my husband has got British passport.I have started studying full time for one year and i need someone to look after my one year old daughter. My husband sponsored his mom and she has got the visit visa and she is here with us but she will leave in Jan.I am not working at the moment but my husband is working full time.I need to apply for my mother's visit visa now to cover up the next 4 months of my uni.
I have following questions
1. Should i sponsor my mother and provide all the financial documents (pay slips and bank statements ) of my husband.
2. Or would it be better idea that my husband will sponsor my mother alongwith a letter from my uni confirming my uni timetable and my daughter's birth certificate to prove that she is too young and she needs someone during my uni hours.
Any suggestions would be of great help

How long will you mother have been here when she leaves in January?

Assuming she will have used up her full 6 months allowed, any application for a visitor visa immediately after the expiry of this one will be refused.

A visitor is not permitted is spend more time in the UK within a 12 month rolling period than they are spending in their home country.

Also, you should tread very carefully here. Childcare, even provided by a relative for no payment is still considered to be 'work' and is not allowed while on a visitor visa. The ECO could easily take the view that your mother has been using her visa to 'reside' in the UK.
