ILR Partner visa through the 10 years route

I am on 10 years route spouse visa and By August I will finish 2.5 years in the UK as a spouse resident (My partner is British). I meet all the requirements to apply for the 5 years route Can I switch to the 5 years route and when?
Also, I wonder if I need to finish 10 years residency before I can apply for the ILR/ or I can apply once I complete 5 years. FYI I have 2 British babies.

You can switch to FLR (M) as soon as you meet the requirement of 18,600 financial and A1 test.

You will be eligible for ILR either with 5 year on FLR (M) or 10 years long residence as switching visa will bring your clock to zero.

Why you were granted FLR FP initially ??
