Spouse visa - director of limited company - 2 years earnings

Post by greenstone88 » Fri Oct 20, 2017 9:37 am

Am hoping someone can help , I am a director of a limited company (I am an IT contractor). Am applying for my wife's UK spouse visa.
I read that if I am self employed sole trader (which I am not) then to hit the 18600 level of income you can take the average of last 2 financial years. Can I do this in my case of director of a limited company ? My last financial year was 11k and the one before that was 70k.
I need to apply now , and my financial year end is March 2018 , I am already earning over 18600 for this year in payslips, can this mean I pass the 18600 test on its own as an "employed" person ?
