Notice Period Dilemma

I am currently holding TIER 2 General Visa Sponsor Visa which is expiring on 7 Dec 2017 and my current sponsor is going to start extension process in NOV 2017 and My current notice period is 3 months.

I have got a new sponsor who is going to start visa process in Nov 2017 and they are asking starting date of joining which can be decided only after below questions are answered.

1. What will happen to the 3 months notice period as 7 Dec 2017 is the end date contract with current employer?

2. Will there be any situation they can force me to serve 3 months full of notice period beyond 7 Dec 2017?
