Advise regarding dependant visa

Hi there, I would like an advise regarding extension of my visa please. My husband received his ilr on term of 10 yr route. He was here 5 years in student visa and then 5 years on tier 2 general visa. I have been in the country since 2009 on student visa and changed to tier2 general dependant visa on 2013. My current leave to remain with tier 2 dependant visa expires on January 2018. I will need to apply for further 2years extension to apply for ilr either on 5 year dependant rule or 10 year route. I am confused in which category should I extend my visa now as my husband is no longer tier 2, he is ilr. Also I would like to do one day service. If you could let me know how to go about this please. Thank you
