visit visa for mother in law - where to start

Post by bhatti_pk » Mon Oct 23, 2017 1:05 pm

Dear all,

i want to apply visit visa for my mother in law as my wife is expecting a baby and i need my mother-in-law to come here to help us.

the only problem i am facing is where to start as she don't have bank statement, her husband and sons settled in UK are giving her/sending money in cash. she is house wife.

01) she has car on her name
02) house is on her name
03) she has other properties on her name as well (not rental), agricultural and plots
04) two sons living and working in uk, but she got refused two times, case worker said as two sons are in uk so we are not satisfied that you will return back to home country.

05) she has 2 married daughters living in the same city, one sister living in same city.

can someone guide me, where to start collecting documents as she don't have bank statement or someone provide list of documents for similar scenario.

thanks

The fact that family members in the UK are sending money to your mother-in-law actually weakens the application considerably. Also, a husband and sons living in the UK will flag up that she has more reason to remain here than to return home.

In submitting evidence of strong ties to her home country, this needs to show that she is financially self-sufficient, which doesn't appear to be the case. Two previous refusals won't have helped.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.

I just want to correct you that only sons living and working in UK, and just sons are sending money to my mother in law. her husband is living in Pakistan with her, he is retired govt. officer.

She is dependant on sons (living in UK) and husband (living in Pakistan with her) and they are giving her money.

I am thinking and have read so many threads related to visit visa in this forum but still i am not picking up any point to start her visa application, as she don't have bank statement to show money pocket money or rental income.

if i will appreciate if anyone will give me any strong point to convince case worker for her visit visa please!

Is your sister in law coming alone or with her 7 years old son??
Chances r very very slim. Young mother coming with 7 years old child and husband is abroad as well. A big NO mate. but take a chance. These days its almost impossible to get visit visa. Don't mention that she is coming here to look after the pregnant sister. Eco will consider her as carer coming on visit visa. Just say we want her to be with us on this special occasion.

I applied my mother visa last year from Pakistan and they thought if she comes here she will not go back and will claim asylum. Even no one ever claimed asylum in my family.

make it simple u are complicating your case

from sponsor:
invitation letter from you and your wife inviting your mother-in-law to see her daughter do not mention pregnancy reason they do not consider as valid reason.
your tenancy agreement/ permission from landlord required to stay of one person
employment letter
proof of bill and expenses not older than 3 months
if you are sponsoring her stay than u need to show bank statement
your/wife passport copy (i don't know if you are British national or not if not than vaild visa copy as well)

from applicant
visa application if she is traveling to uk for first time do not apply for more than 3 or 2 weeks
if she has travel history to other countries like Europe etc just attach copy of passport
employment letter mentioning joining date and monthly net salary which also must reflect as 6 month bank statement plus and savings amount to bear travel cost if your are not bearing cost of traveling remember do not deposit cash into account for this case they will consider as not genuine and reject application savings for travel expenses must b 6 months old in bank statement
passport copy of son living abroad and visa copy as well
Nadra family form in English
husband id card copy and English translation
bill like telephone as proof of residence
and any other family person which she can prove as her dependent like Daughter son school fees bill etc
assets on her name u can provide details with translation

remember it is applicant onus to prove that she will return by end or her visit
hope that helps

Hi wahpk

i have checked your list of documents.

for mother in law : she don't have any bank statement maintained on her name. so how can i manage this? without her statement i am unable to convince case worker as this is primary thing for visit visa to show that she is financially stable. (she has some rental income because she is having everything on cash, her sons in uk sending money but they are also sending cash collections in Pakistan).

--

my sister in law has maintained bank statement properly, she has a 7 year old son as well , not sure it's i can go for my sister in law visa.

please guide !

what about her husband ? do not mention her sons to support financially bec u don't have any proof to support this statement. u can attach your bank statement if sufficient funds available to support her travel.

if sister in law is in Pakistan and have sufficient funds available to support trip than she can right financial support affidavit on stamp u can get sample from internet.what about ur sister in law circumstances she employed ? how she can proof strong ties in Pakistan ? i believe she must not travel with 7 years its very hard get visa with 7 years old with her

Dear Friends,

Last week i have applied visit visa application for my sister in law and her 7 years old son.

she got an interview call in Lahore office - Pakistan tomorrow (09/01/2017).

I want to know what sort of questions they are asking to candidate for visit visa so that i can guide her to prepare for the interview and go to the visa office.

Please note she has appointment tomorrow (09/01/17), so please advise this urgently, so that i can communicate with her with all possible questions.

thanks
bhatti

Hi,
Does she choose Premium service for visit visa application?

Questions will be based upon application form which she filled in. They will ask question about her financial, economic and social ties. and about u as well.
how u get permanent stay?
have u ever or any of your other family member claimed asylum?
what she will do in UK during her visit?
Is she planning to do any paid or unpaid work in the UK?
IS she planning for asylum or to stay longer than intended?
She must also know about your family in the UK.
