FLR M to TIER 2 GENERAL

Hi Gurus,

I recently got separated from my partner. He has curtailed my FLR M (spouse/ partner leave to remain) dependant visa and my son’s visa. My employer has kindly agreed to apply for my Tier2 General. I have few questions I wanted to clarify.

1. Should I have to go out of the country to switch my visa from partner leave to remain to tier 2?
2. I have been with the employer for 4 years already and them sponsoring the visa, will that be ok? Would there be any specific issues.
3. Is there any specific information I should ask my employer to check before they make the application?
