Critical Skills Employment permit - Education dependency

Post by sudhakar2222 » Tue Oct 24, 2017 3:10 pm

Hello All,

I am living in India and got a sponsor in Ireland to process Critical skills visa. i am a software engineer with engineering degree in Electronics and Communications specialization. When i contacted local consultancy here in India, they said i am not eligible to apply for this visa. Because for critical skills visa, the rule is to have computers or IT education for eligibility.

Even thought if you are working in software industry, as your education is electronics and communication, not eligible for critical skills visa.

I have gone through web and ireland visa guidelines but not find this kind of information.

Can any one clarify my doubt whether i am eligible to apply for visa

Thanks
