Neutralisation Application (Referee and Documents needed)

Post by tipseytipstips » Tue Oct 24, 2017 8:34 pm

Hi I’m really sorry, I have looked around to find similar questions to mine and answers but didn’t quite find any.

I am about to send off my application For neutralisation exactly one year and one day after I received my ILR, I hope this is ok?

My main question is with regards to referees, I know a bar manager who is a licence holder, is she qualified to sign as a professional referee? My GP practice used to be able to do this but for some reasons have now stopped.

Also, below are the documents I have attached with my application, are these all necessary?

Completed application for Naturalisation as a British Citizen:

2x passport photographs attached.

UK Indefinite Leave To Remain ... valid from ....

Current passport for myself, Mr ... with dates ... Passport Number ...

Old passport for myself, Mr ... dated .... Passport Number ...

Police Extract for lost biometric residence permit card ...

UK Driving Licence ... dated...

Deed Poll Certificate dated...

Education Certificate, dated ..., from the University ...

Education Statement transcript, dated ..., from the University of ....

Master’s Degree Certificate, dated... from the University of ...

Education Statement transcript, from the University of ....

Employment contracts, dated...

Wage slips, dated 27/05/2017 to 27/10/2017...

Tenancy agreement, dated ...

Council Tax Annual Bill 2017/2018 dated...

EDF Energy bills, dated...

Water bill dated...

Children’s birth certificates.

Crime report letter for stolen passport in the past dated...

Thank you lots.

Yes as long as you are applying after 12 months of obtaining the ILR. Are you using a NCS or applying by post? I don't think they'll need all those documents but better to take it along just in case. Also, you need to enclose your original life in the UK test as well (unless you are exempt, etc). Rest looks fine.

Good luck!

Manager of a limited liability company and personal licence holder is on the list of acceptable referees.

Thank you lots, especially clarifying the referee aspect. I’m not applying through NCS just gonna do it by post.

Guess I can’t be in trouble for sending too much documents.

I sent my original life in uk test result when I applied for my ILR so they kept it, I’ll just tick to say I’ve done it and also give the test ID.

Thanks again for your reply.
