ILR for kids

Post by pots12 » Wed Oct 25, 2017 8:33 pm

Hi,

I have got ILR from Tier 1 General. Subsequently my wife got the ILR as a dependent. But we haven't applied ILR for kids since we have PBS dependent visa valid until Jan 2018. We are now planning to apply ILR for them. Which application route do I need to use for them? (SET (O), SET (F) ??? ). If we can use either one of them then which route would be best to get it quicker.

Hi pots12,

I think, My Case is similar like you.

May I know what documents have you submitted ( if you have already applied) for your Kid's ILR Applications?
Have you provided 2 set's of documentation for your kids or 1 set of documents for both applications?

Please reply.

Thanks
Bheeshma.

I haven't applied yet. I probably would post next week.
I am planning to use SET(F) application. I probably would supply two sets of documents for both the kids

I am planning to submit below.

1. Copy of my ILR and my wife.
2. Marriage Certificate,
3. Birth certificates
4. three months salary slip and bank statements.

I am not sure what else we need to submit part from these when using SET(f) application form.

Thank you for the prompt reply.

Are you kids out of UK for Long period of time? If it is , then I think, you should also provide the reason for the absences.

Here is the check list that I am planning to:

1- Passports and BRP cards of Parents
2- Rental Agreement
3- Last 3 months payslip and Employee Reference Letter
4- Bank Statements
5- Reason for Absences and provide any documentation proof
6- Photos taken with kids and wife while traveled to India; I am planning to submit this because my wife was out of UK for longer period and my kids as well..
7- Birth Certificates
8- Letter from School, stating that he is pursuing studies.
9- Travel Itineraries , i.e. when Kids travelled .

It will be much helpful if Board Admins' can advise us any further documents in support of Set(F) Application for Settlement, please.

Kind Regards
Bheeshma.

if the kids are under 18 and both the parents has ILR already then I don't think we really need to worry about their absences.
As long as we have an evidence to prove that financially we are ok

Do we need to really send our BRP originals.
I am assuming We need to send their originals like BRP, passport, birth certificates and marriage certificates if any. We can send copies of our BRP and passport then should be ok.

This is really nice piece of conversation, reminding me of the Phrase " Sharing is Caring ".

From Set(F), Page 20, It has mentioned to provide the absence details; Not sure is this relevant in this case.

Please provide details of any periods of absence of more than six months during that time.

Date you left the UK Date you returned to the UK Reason for absence

Cheers!
Bheeshma.
