ILR with refugee status

Hi,
Many thanks for your useful website.. i recently received my ILR and my previous status was a refugee leave to remain. I have a couple of questions to ask.
First, I've been living in the UK for 6 years. Can I apply for a british pasport after 12 months of receiving ILR?
Second, I don't have a passport or travel document at the moment. How can I apply for a travel document or can i travel just with ILR? Do i need visa to travel?
