Appendix 2 form fill up and source of finance

Post by Mshuman » Sun Oct 29, 2017 10:04 am

Hi guys,
I am a british citizen living outside the uk with my family. I am going to apply uk settlement visa for my spouse. As I came accross , with the main application I have to fill up the form appendix 2 for my wife. But there is no such option saying that spouse of a british citizen, rather only one option is there that is spouse of a settled person. I am not a settled person in the uk. So where to put cross in this case.
Another question is , we arranged a cash savings where the max portion is from our parents as a gift. I saw tgat I have to mention the source . Is it only a letter from our parents saying they gave it as a gift. Or anything else.

As a British citizen you are considered to have settlement in the UK. You will have to show a documented trail of the source of the funds. These must have been held in your control for a minimum of 6 months.
