Hi ,
I am applying for British citizenship after completing 6 years on Tier1 General route. I've some query about court conviction and need comments/advice from senior people in this group or those who face similar situatiuon.
Last year Oct-16, i got Speeding ticket ( SP30) and I paid the fine immediately but forgot to send my license for endorsement. Later Police Fixed penalty unit send me letter to send my license immediately for endorsement or else they will send my file to court for legal action , I sent my DL immediately and later i got confirmation in writing from DVLA, Leeds office that my license is endorsed and notice is closed.
In April this year i got notice from Magistrate court that i failed to comply with one of condition by not sending license for endorsement and request to present my case by either appearing personally or by post, I pleaded by post that i have already met both the conditions ( unfortunately 3 penalty points were not visible on my online DVLA record , obviously some error/mistake in DVLA part ) .
Court after considering my written plea later passed the following order - " The court has ordered that your driving record be endorsed with the penalty points stated below"
Please can someone advise if this order can be a problem when i make application for citizenship ? to me this is definitely a criminal conviction as i confirmed this with Police. Although i'll declare this in form but still need to understand the risk of refusal because of this order.
Thanks in advance.
