Non existent EU ID- does it matter?

Post by Plush79 » Sat Nov 04, 2017 12:18 pm

Hi, I am applying for citizenship with my passport, EU citizen here, does it matter if I don't have any EU ID (expired years ago, didn't renew as I never need it)?i know home office will not ask for it, but the fact I don't have it at all, not sure if that matters.
Also, I was told on Slovak embassy, when taking new passport, that they see in their system I still have permanent residence on my Slovak address, does this matter when I am applying for citizenship? Thank you.

National ID card is not required, passport is sufficient (my own expired decades ago and never bothered with it).
If you have PR und fulfil all requirements for AN then this should not matter, as long as you intend to reside in the UK, as you have to declare this on the form.
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
