Good Morning all, I'm new here.
Bit of background before the question;
My wife was granted her initial FLR(M) visa in July 2015 at Sheffield.
When applying, the IELTS Academic Certificate (taken in Colombia) was used as evidence of an English language with an overall score of 7.5 (equivalent to CEFR C1 Level).
She passed the IELTS test in September 2014, and according to GOV.UK website, the IELTS certificate has a validity of 2 years, thus her certificate has expired now.
We are going to apply for the second part of FLR(M) in December 2017 using the Premium Service Centre, and as per the Knowledge of English Language section, she is required to take an A2 test to show her competency.
We recently took the CEFR A1 test by mistake, and we are wondering;
Will her existing IELTS certificate grade 7.5 (CEFR equivalent of C1) be sufficient proof of Knowledge of English, even though it has expired?
If so, would this come under ‘Yes’ of Section 8.3 of FLR(M) Version 04/2017 Page 42?
I would really appreciate any advice or past experiences with this matter.
Thanks in advance,
Steve
