Can somebody work in UK if a dependant on a Student Visa?

Hi

I have a candidate who has just arrived in the UK from India as a dependant on her Husband's Student Visa which is valid until June 2019.

She does have a National Insurance Number card.

Could anybody help me to clear up whether she can work in the UK?

Am I right in assuming that she would be able to work full time but only as long as her Husband's Visa is valid, and only up until June 2019 (or whenever that visa ultimately expires)?

Any help and advice would help both my candidate and myself.

It's not that complicated that it needs clearing up. Her work conditions, including any restrictions on working, are printed on her visa vignette.

If she doesn't understand her work conditions, refer her to UKCISA's guidance for dependants:

If she doesn't understand that either, refer her to the international student adviser at the university.
