FLR(m) - Financial Requirement Question

Post by shadowonyx » Tue Nov 07, 2017 2:49 pm

Hi

Hopefully quick question.

I am the British passport holder / sponsor and my husband came over on the family of a settled person visa. In January he is due to extend at the 30 month mark (5 year route). Our children are brutish as well so our financial requirement is £18600 per year. At the time of initial application, I was the sponsor. My husband has been in salaried employment in the UK for over a year with the same company earning £35000 per year. I have been working up until last month when I suffered some health issues and have been booked off long term ill. Based on this and not being able to work, I have considered resigning completely. For his FLR(m) application, I understand my husband’s income can also be counted toward the requirement. Considering he more than covers the requirement, will me not working affect his application?

No problem at all. You can qualify with your husband's income alone.
