How much money can you bring in to UK?

Hi respected members,

Just a quick question. My wife and 2 daughters have been granted visa for UK as my dependant (I m on ILR).

My question is how much money can my wife bring in to uk in Pounds? She sold her land she inherited from her dad and its around £28000 after conversion.

I understand the limit to declare is 10,000 or more but is it per person? as she is travelling with 2 daughters (6 and 3 years old) so do they get 10,000 limit each including my daughters too?

In case you are wondering, she doesn't want to do bank transfer due to terrible bank conversion rates and hiked up bank fees for the service. So if she brings in £28000 considering her limit and 2 children, is that going to be ok ?

You can bring as much as you like. It just needs to be declared. There is no limit, but anything over £10,000 would need to be declared.

Bank statements, for example, would be helpful to show where the money originated from.

If the money is not declared, it can be seized. Declaration highly recommend.
