Can I submit a digitally stamped bank statement?

Post by Mohammed M » Thu Nov 09, 2017 4:15 pm

Hi
Excuse my question if its been asked before or kind of relates to another question been asked.
My question is: I am about to apply for a tier 4 student visa to study Master from the middle east, Iraq specifically.
The thing is I previously lived and studied in the UK and completed a bachlor degree. And for this, now I used my UK bank account (Barclays) to support my stay in the UK for the course fees and the living costs. It's kind of a mistake because I did not know that I would face an issue when getting the statement. Its a long story.

It came out that there are two ways for me to get those statements sent to my home country to be used for the visa application. The first one is to use the regular monthly statement as my original evidence without being stamped or anything, just as it is.

OR
I spoke to the bank and I've been told that I could have the statement as a copy but in addition will be digitally stamped. The person who I spoke to said will be acceptable by the UKVI, because this digital stamp comes by a request with a reason, which is for visa application.

If someone could help me what to do,or are these two options acceptable? would be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance

I really don't recommend getting immigration advice from someone at the bank.

Why are you bringing digitally stamped copies into the application? What is your concern about just using the regular original monthly paper statements?
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.

Thanks for your reply. Sah10406
My only concern about the regular statement is I have to wait for the statement to come over by post which I am in a kind of a lack of time.
So the digitally stamped statement was my fast second option.
