Set(M) ILR as a parent of British children

Post by Nikky2008 » Sat Nov 11, 2017 9:42 am

Hi
Could someone pls help me to answer my question

I first received my limited leave to remain 2.5years in Jan 2013 on genuine and parental relatiinship with a British citizen children who is in the UK. And I renew and granted another limited leave to remain 2.5years on the same reason under Apendix FM and will end in Jan 2018.

My Question now
- Can I apply for ILR under new SET(m) application as a parent.
- what does the clause "Single parent" mean on that application

Please see my post, I have the same case. You are lucky that home office has not changed your status to a spouse visa. I assume you are single, and you are eligible for ILR (apply via SET(M), if not then your visa status would not be valid and you would need to inform HO. See my post above, and let me know if you need any further explanation.

Were you granted under the 5 years route or 10 years route? If under the 10 years route, then you do not qualify yet.

On the letter it was stated 10years route. Also could you please differentiate between the 5years and 10years route. Thanks for your respond
