OK to visit my family while im working 6 months in UK?

Hi All,

This might seem a silly question, but i am currently living and working in the UK building up to 6 months time when i can apply for my wife's visa to come and join me with our daughter in the UK. I just want to double check that there is no reason why i can't leave the country in that time and go visit them for a week?
