Tier 2 Visa Dependent Proof of Funds

Post by chllz03 » Mon Nov 13, 2017 12:09 am

I am currently on a Tier 2 Visa with an A rated sponsor in the UK. I have been here for a few months already. I have a wife and children back home and I am confused about the TOTAL amount I need to have in my bank account if I want to bring them here to the UK.

VISA application fees £500+++ x no. of dependents (3)
IHS fees £400 x no of dependents (3)
Myself £900+++
Proof of funds £630 x no of dependents (3)

Does this mean I need to have a total of around £5490 (untouched for 90 days) to get my family?

Is this correct or have I misunderstood the guidance? Any clarification about this matter will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!

No, you'll only need the £630 X no. of dependants (3) for 90 days,
or either you can get your employer to write a letter stating that the cost of living for your dependants will be covered for the first few months by the sponsor and include it in their application, and this will be enough.

Thank you for your reply my dear friend.

What about the accommodation? Should I be living in a house with 3 bedrooms or is a two bedroom flat OK? I have a husband and two kids, one son and daughter.
