SOC code

Post by jamshidifar » Mon Nov 13, 2017 1:17 pm

Hi
I booked an in person appointment on Friday 17/11/2017. I am a researcher until 30 Nov and from 01 Dec will be a lecturer; which is two different SOC codes. I got a letter from my employer mentioning this. I am not sure if there could be any problem as I am only on my current job for two weeks after ILR. Does anybody has a similar experience?

Thanks
Ali

There is a technical failure in that the ILR letter should state that you will be required to perform the same role and that the roles is needed and continues.
It will come down to the caseworker to decide wither there is scope to accept that you will be performing a similar or higher role in the same organisation. If they so choose they do have the right to refuse based on the above technical point.

Hope for the best but expect the worst
