IS AN EMPLOYER LETTER REQUIRED FOR NON SALARIED CATEGORY B SPOUSE & DEPENDANT CHILD VISA'S

Post by sharpielad » Mon Nov 13, 2017 4:20 pm

Hello everyone,

I am just applying for my spouse and stepson visas for the UK (I'm a UK Citizen). The applications are complete, and my wife and stepson have there biometric appointments on the 23rd of this month (Minsk, Belarus).

I have just one question (and its really bothering me) as the subject states, yet I am struggling really to find an answer after many hours looking online, through this forum and others.

To give a brief overview of my circumstances, I have been in my current work now for around 4 months. I am contract (paid £32p/h for the first 39 hours, then £30p/h anything over this) yet I am employed and paid weekly by xxxxx. I have already met the financial requirement, hence why we are going the Non Salaried Cat B route. Part one of the calculation based on 18 weeks payslips (I'm paid weekly), my estimated salary is around £62k. Part 2 is I have earned over the £22400 requirement as confirmed by my latest payslip (Gross). I don't have any other employment in the latest financial year.

Because I am paid hourly I have classed this as non salaried.

I cannot seem to find an answer as to whether I need a letter from my employer stating my salary, due to by nature of my employment I am non-salaried. It seems very contradicting if this would be the case. So this is a sanity check for me as I am starting to get really confused, as everything I have read from other posts states Letter from Employee etc is a must.

For my financials at the moment I have:-
My original letter from xxxxxx when I started.
Contract of employment with xxxxxxxx.
Assignment contract, which states my rates, terms etc for my current contract.
Along with this I have my payslips and stamped and signed banks statements.

Can anyone advise for my set of circumstances if I need a letter from my employer, and if so, what needs to be included in it?

Many thanks everyone.
