Tier2 in-country visa extension Query

I am getting anxious about my recent visa extension application which was sent by post on 25th Oct. I was wondering if there is a way to track the status of my application. I found the UKVI website (see link below) but when I input either my unique application number or the payment notification number, I get the message 'reference number not recognized'. Is this normal that the website is not updated regularly?

My current visa is expiring at the end of this week and I/my employer are wondering whether there is a definite evidence to show that my application is indeed under consideration by the Home Office. I have not received any acknowledgement of my application.

Hi Arun, I have tried the IHS number and it does seem to work. However, I remember using the IHS number on the website once I had paid, but before sending the application to the home office, and it was already showing me the message 'awaiting a decision' which it does even now. So, not sure if it means a lot. The other two numbers are not even recognized.

Morning Repeatcell,
If it is still showing as Awaiting a decision , that means its still in progress. Once decision is made it will show as Decided but wont let you know on the outcome rather it will say , decision letter has been posted. Once you see this message expect that letter to receive in 5 days at least.
