Can I get my home country passport after getting the BC?

Post by hasssssssan » Tue Nov 14, 2017 11:46 pm

Hi

I just got my approval letter for my naturalisationa application - thanks god and thanks for this forum and who helped me here.

I cam here 7 years ago as a asylum seeker, I came by a valid tourist visa and genuine passports.

When I got the refugee status they returned back all my ID including the passport. However when I applied for the travel document I attached the passport with the application in order to get the travel document.

So now my question is, Can I get my passport back ?? If yes, how and where .. need details plz.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards
Hasan

If you request the return of your passport of a country which you claimed asylum from and the basis on which you obtained settlement and then British citizenship, it may raise questions as to whether your claim was false.
