Spouse Visa

Post by mikefern » Wed Nov 15, 2017 8:52 pm

Hi Everyone,

I will be getting married later this year and intend to bring my spouse to the UK on spouse visa. I have some queries regarding this process. I have looked around this forum and the gov website but still haven’t found answers to my questions and I hope someone can answer them.
1) Since I’ll be getting married in my country and both will be present there. Can I apply there with my documents, rather than sending my documents separately from the UK? So I will be sending all our documents via post to the UK address written on the application form.
2) As I will be staying with my parents I will require a letter stating they allow me to live there with my spouse. I have read on this forum that I also need a housing inspection report. I wanted to know, does this need to have dimension of the rooms or just an estate agent who can confirm there is adequate room to accommodate an addition person?
I hope you can help me many thanks in advance.

1. Which country are you referring to by saying 'there'?
