Tier 2 application from home country, after residing abroad.

Post by laegoiste » Thu Nov 16, 2017 10:11 am

Hi everyone!

I apologize if this has been asked before, but I searched and couldn't find anything similar.

I have a question about applying for a UK Tier 2 visa from my home country (India).

I've lived in Dubai all my life, and am employed here at the moment until the end of the month (being laid off). I've secured employment at a company in London (IT) and they'll be issuing a CoS for me sometime next month.

Initially, I was planning to apply for the visa from Dubai, but that is no longer possible as I won't have valid residency status after the end of this month. So, I am planning to go back to India and initiate the application from there.

When doing this, is there anything I should keep in mind besides the TB test? This is the only difference I've seen. But, considering that I've never lived there, should I include a cover letter or any other kind of document along with my application?

Some information on this would be really helpful, and I appreciate any kind of response. Thanks in advance!
