English language requirement

Post by Nicola0987 » Thu Nov 16, 2017 8:26 pm

I need advice - I've my original qualification from EU (non-English). To use it in UK to work I had to go through a period of adaptation with a specific professional body, organize supervision, coordinator, submit paperwork incl. written work, placement, small scale research etc. My overall qualification was recognized as equivalent to UK professional doctorate and registered as a UK based degree by the organisation regulating my profession.

To meet English language criteria for citizenship AN form -do i apply to Naric to state the level of English which was required in the process (but the degree was not conferred by an academic institution so I don't know how they will view it) or just book a language test ( I have one from ages ago but it's not on the current HO list)?

Any thoughts appreciated. Thanks.

Professional qualifications are not accepted for proof of English.
This was the case with my application / qualification (Chartered Institute of ....).
Easiest would be just to go with the test, same fee as Naric (£150).
This is just my opinion as a member of this forum and does not constitute immigration advice.
Please do not send me private messages asking for advice.
