Passport Validity -- Travel requirement

Hello,
Could some one please help clarify this.
My wife has ILR and Indian Passport and Indian citizenship.
We booked flight tickets and then realized that the passport is expiring in April 2018
Please some one could let us know is it going to be an issue either in India or in UK.
I cannot renew the passport as not enough time left.

Much appreciated if anyone in similar situation can confirm that they travelled without any issues in past
