I just got my tier 2 visa but I found that the there may be something wrong so I hope somebody could help answer me.
In my COS,
the start date is 16/10/2017
the end date is 15/10/2022
I am applying for 5-year visa, and I receive my letter and the stamped passport in the application center on 14/11/2017
In the letter, it is stated that I have permission to be in the UK as TIER 2 GENERAL MIGRANT from 5/2/2018 to 29/10/2022, and my BRP will be available from 12/2/2018.
My question is, I understand that I have to stay in the UK for 5 years before applying ILR. However, I am afraid that there will not be a 5 year time even I enter to the UK on 5/2/2018 and work till 29/10/2022 (only about 4.5 years?!) What's with that? Could anyone help tell me on what date will be counted as the start date of my ILR? What should I do if I want to apply ILT in the future? Extend my visa?
