Switching Visa Information

Hi,

I am currently on a dependent of diplomat visa (also known as exempt visa). I am in full time study doing my BSc (which is going to be finish in 2019). My current visa is about to expire but I want to switch my visa to Tier 4.

My question is can I switch my visa status from UK? or Do I need to go back to my country and get a visa?
