Hello All
I have the following penalties during my stay in the UK.
3 recent penalty points:
Offence date: 2 Dec 2013
Offence details: SP30; exceeding statutory speed limit on a public road
Penalty points: 3
Fine: Not sure of the amount paid. I believe 100 GBP.
Court/Fixed penalty office: 2950; Sussex (Central) Magistrates’ Court.
Did not go to the court. Paid the penalty in time.
3 previous penalty points:
Offence date: 12 Jan 2010
Conviction date: 18/03/2010
Removal date: Already removed from the license
Offence details: LC20 Driving otherwise than in accordance with a license.
Penalty points: 3
Fine: 50 £
Court/Fixed penalty office: 2853; Sussex (Central) Magistrates’ Court.
Did not go to the court. Pleaded guilty by post. Paid the penalty in time.
ILR application approved on 16/11/2016. Declared both offences as Penalties.
I am due for BC application 16/11/2017. I have the following questions.
1- Do I have to declare these as 'criminal convictions' or FPN ? The AN form does not have the columns for declaring any penalties. I believe I can use the additional space on the form to declare the penalties.
2- I believe the lapse (spent) time for the above stated offences is three years when naturalisation applications are considered. I am hoping no issues if I apply now.
3- The paper counterparts for the licence are not issued by the DVLA anymore. Is there a requirement to send any alternate paperwork/document to satisfy the caseworker regarding motoring convictions.
I will appreciate any response to the topic. Thanks in advance.
Regards
