Placement year

Post by Zee123456789 » Sat Nov 25, 2017 4:55 pm

I wanted to know. That i got 2 year visa for masters. 1 year is for placement...i want to know that if i become unable to secure job within deadline then i will be shifted to full time mode for 1 year. but my question is as i will have visa of 2 years and suppose if i can not secure job and i complete degree in 1 year then will uni report this to UKVI that i could not secure job for placement year and will i be deported after first year of master completion without job placement or i can stay 1 more year as i have visa of 2 years??

The university will need to confirm to the Home Office that you have completed early, and your visa will be curtailed accordingly. You will not be deported -- that means someone is removed from the UK because they have broken the law.
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.

I know that feeling buddy. I did my master's degree with placement and it was really a fight against time. You need to get a placement (if not, visa curtailed), preferably in a company that could potentially sponsor you later.

I got placement opportunity in non-Tier2sponsor company, so had to search for a job after placement.
My advice would be to get a placement in ANY company first and worry about other things later. You only have limited time to secure placement so get that sorted.
My advice is based on personal research/experience, so pls check relevant UKVI sources.
