Hi Guys,
I am looking for some help regarding my PBS Dependent Visa extension.
My wife has already got her ILR in Aug 2017 through Tier 2 general - 5 Years continuous stay.
I am currently on ‘PBS Dependent' visa and I did not change my visa when she got her ILR.
I got my first dependent visa on 29/01/2014 and I came to the UK in mid Mrach 2014.
My current visa details are as follows :
Start Date : May 2015
End Date : June 2018
Type : PBS Dependent
I think I have to apply for a PBS dependent extension before my visa expires and its an online form.
I am looking for the answers to the following questions.
1. My wife has decided to leave her current employer who was her tier 2 sponsor. She will be taking a month's break from work before looking for a new job. Will that affect me in anyway for my extension?
Will it affect her in any way when applying for a PR?
2. When is the earliest I can start my application process?
3. In the online application form, there's a question regarding COS - What is the length of Main applicants COS? I have entered it as less than 3 years (the one which my wife had before her ILR) I could not find any reference to it again in the application form. Can you please confirm if the option I have selected is the correct one? and I do not have to provide an actual COS as it won't be a valid one?
4.There's a maintenance question in the application - Has Main applicants sponsor agreed to certify your maintenance? I have answered it as 'No'. For the proof of maintenance, can I attach my wife's bank statements as unfortunately I have not maintained funds for continuous 90 days? Are the bank statements enough as a proof or do I have to provide my wife's payslips? (I can provide my statements and payslips if I apply after Jan 2018 as then the 90 days period for the maintenance of funds will be satisfied)
5. When the application form takes you to pay the IHS, the total fee is being calculated as £1500 rather than £600 (I think its because my wife's ILR is valid till 2024). Can someone please let me know if they have experienced the same issue? Have they got a refund of the remaining amount from the UKVI?
Appreciate your time and help.
Thanks in advance,
Adi
