Applying for PhD UK visa

Post by ugill » Tue Nov 28, 2017 12:54 am

Hi there,

I hope everyone is alright..

So currently I just finished my masters (MSc.) in UK. I want to do PhD in UK as well now..

However, meanwhile I had some time free last few months, I applied for work permit in Poland through my brothers company in Poland and I got poland's work permit. However, its a restaurant business work permit that is already running there and only requires like a visit after some months to check if its all good, otherwise everything can be managed from anywhere as workers are there.

So, my question is that when I apply for PhD visa extension, will it be a problem if the UKBA sees polish work permit. Will they have an objection towards it?
I am genuine student (I had distinction in masters) and actually wanna do PhD to take my field of expertise to next level and get job in my field.
Just wanna know if UKBA will question somethign related to that like why doing PhD if I have polish visa on my passport, etc.

I will appreciate your kind response.
regards

No, but it would not be a visa extension. If your previous course has now finished and you have moved to Poland for work, you should not attempt to use your Tier 4 visa to re-enter the UK. You should apply for a new Tier 4 visa in Poland.
I do not give immigration advice. I refer you to Immigration Rules, guidance, other online content and to your sponsor.
